Whale shark In BOLA Oct 2009

This whale shark was very interested in the motor on our boat. To be so close and see this wonderful creature was truly a beautiful gift from God.

Are they becoming more plentiful in the SOC? We had a pair hangin out in the Bay of Concepcion for over a month last April. Awesome creatures.

Is this the season for whale sharks? Can anyone inform me as to the months one may encounter them in BOLA? Was it still hot in October there?

Works great, gives us what we need, one of our friends at BOLA has one as well and he likes it also.

We have only seen them end of September and early October, never looked for them at other times of the year. Check out Mia's website it may give you more info.

Thanks for all of your photo comments, this really was amazing, if there had not been so many Pelicans diving for bait fish I may have gotten in the water. On this day, the bait fish was so thick I would have been wearing them in my suit!!! Hey wait, what was I thinking.....bait fish could be fun, ;D

Doc posted a pic of my buddy Tahm riding a wind wave in front of Camp Ghetto on an old windsurfing board sans sail a few years back so...it is possible.
