Pure Sine Inverters

I am in the market for a 3000 Pure Sine Wave Inverter. I have narrowed it down to a Go Power and a Samlex. The Samlex is $200 more than the Go Power. Anyone with experience with either?

Thanks,

Eric

After you replace all those old batteries, you wont be able to afford anything but the cheapest.

What are you running that requires 3k watts?

If this was MV south, I'd have a mexican gardener pulling my Jimena weeds and picking rocks out of my yard for the last week. Instead, it's just me and my Advil.

Better get down to SF, bud. You're missing one of the TWO good months.

I agree totally with the suggestion that you call Tom at The Solar Biz....or go to Thesolarbiz.com on the net.

I had a 24V 3600 watt Trace modified sine wave inverter that did a good job for about ten years but I got some appliances that needed full sine wave. The best one a year ago when I bought mine was Magnasine 4000 watt, 24 V inverter. Tom will tell you about it and others.

Trace has become a Chinese company...bought out...and the new name is Xantex. I have their charge controller. They make good stuff.

If you are putting in a charge controller be sure to get a new one that uses the "overhead" inherent in solar panels to produce more amps by reducing the overhead volts on a 60th of a second basis...ask Tom.
It's not complicated...just sounds like it. We got an additional 25% charging amps by installing the Xantrex jobbie......Outback has one too.
