January water temps

Hey guys,

I'm an east coast surfer heading to Baja for the first time right after christmas. What water temps can I expect? Full suit the whole penninsula down or does it warm to board shorts by Todos?

Thanks,
J

http://www.terrafin.com/sstview/index.php

Terrafin has Sea Surface Temperatures. You don't say where you are headed as the temps can range from 60-80 in december.

Also depends on your bodies ability to be in the sun, be exposed to jelly fish and sustain sand burns.

FYI December surf in Baja is not so great typically.

And if this turns out to be a Pineapple Express year, Southern Baja could be going off too....
