Phishing URL????
I have a fairly new virus protection, Kaspersky and until today, I have had no trouble with this forum.
Today, I had to turn off the protection as when I get to the forum area, Kaspersky denies access saying that there is a phishing URL in one of the
headers????
I tried both IE and Foxfire and it was the same.
I am very ignorant about these things and wondered if anyone else is having a problem, can explain, and or help.
I know I have had a false problem on one other site????
Thanks
Diane

Could be your virus detector is picking up Google bot, or another web crawler. Most are harmless

Diana,
I use Firefox and am protected by Norton. Norton isn't picking up anything from this website.

That may be it because those crawlers are only here every so often. And, after I posted this, I turned my protection back on while still on this
site, and no more messages.
I had heard Kaspersky was good, but boy it is sensitive.
Thanks--- I would not have thought of that!

and so early on a Sunday morn.
Since it was temporary, I think bonazapilot figured it out.
Thanks---interesting the different things different programs pick up.

Different programs allow different things to filter through. Almost all allow their own sites to track you

Try using something like Malwarebytes anti malware program to see how much stuff is actually getting through

Any chance you remember the actual error message?
A URL in the "headers" isn't common, unless you're being forwarded to another site (with the "location" header). Headers are sent before the page
content is delivered to the browser. Reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTTP_headers
The only third-party sites embedded in the page right now are from Google and their associated services. The rest are all directly from this site.
You are not having any direct contact with the "web crawlers", as they are other visitors to the site indexing the content for one reason or another.
Google being one of those indexing the site for their search engine results. Here's the unsurprising Google results now for a search on 'kaspersky
"phishing URL" headers':
