Popcorn Turkey Dressing
Found this handwritten recipe in my mother's treasured recipe file that she compiled over the course of her lifetime as wife, mother and kindergarten
teacher.
Popcorn Turkey Dressing
Mix together 1 cup of whole popping corn kernals, 1 stick of butter, 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp each sage and rosemary. Place all in turkey
cavity. Cook 350 degrees for 4 hours and blow the a#% out of the bird!
My mother!! I'm shocked!

All kidding aside, she did the best Thanksgiving Feast ever.
I loved her Waldorf Salad and Orange-Glazed Twists.
Here's to you, mama. Miss you.

Just received a surefire way to cook your turkey from one of my "sick"friends.
Happy Thanksgiving, from my recipe box to yours.....
Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing -- imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for
people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.
8 - 15 lb. turkey1 cup melted butter1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT) Salt/pepper to
taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with
the neck end toward the back of the oven.
Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's burro blows the oven door open and the bird flies across the room, it's done.
And, you thought I didn't cook...
