Tuesday's moonrise at Bahia de los Angeles

[img][/img]

Just downloaded this from the BOLA weather station a few miles south of town. Nice moonrise over the still water makes me wish I were there.

I check that weather site every day myself. Thanks for capturing the perfect shot. If I didn't want to be there I'd be crazy.

Santiago, will you be there for the New Year celebration this year? It's about time you graced us with your presence.....

We will be leaving Punta Banda for Bahia on the weekend following Christmas. We will be celebrating with the masses at the Diaz compound on New Year's eve. It would be nice to welcome in the new year meeting new friends.

Looking forward to it.

David,

We'll be bringing our puppy Carter down, his first trip to Baja. He'll be getting his last set of puppy shots just before we leave. He'll have just turned 4 mo. old. I'm sure Carter would like to have a buddy to romp the beach with.

That sure is a nice looking pup you have. He will have the time of his life running on the beach with Maya.
First thing first though. I need to patrol the beach for dead puffers. Maya loves to play with everything she finds. I have caught her twice with them in her mouth playing with them like a ball. She got real sick the last time we were there. Now I keep a close eye on her.
We are looking forward to leaving the snow and watching the Bahia sun rises!

David,

We've been stressing over the pufferfish too. Dern's been taking Carter to the bay daily to prep him for Baja. Carter wants to eat and roll on everything dead he can find.

Our job every morning in Bahia is to number one, never let him out of our sight, and number two, clean the beach of dead puffers. Even with that I'm sure he'll sniff one out. Our Bullmastiff Rosie ate one. Fortunately she was a pig and swallowed it whole and threw it right back up. She was very sick and slept solid for three days afterwards.

A few years back a Welsh Corgie came to Bahia to stay with our neighbor. He jumped out of the car, ran to the beach, ate a puffer and died within a few hours. There was nothing that could be done. Dern and I burried him for the owner who was devistated to say the least.

Puffers are no joking matter, so we will be patrolling the beach for them as well. You can be sure that the beach from Mary Ann's to Camp Gecko will be a puffer free zone, in a perfect baja world that is.

24Baja, Carter is a Boerboel, a South African Mastiff.

Look at the paws on that guy! You should be able to saddle him in a month or two.
