FWD: 1X vs 12X pit

kawasaki was back at the 1000 this year with bike 1X Robby Bell. They led the entire race often by several minutes but at the end Honda 12X came in less than the 3 minutes they started behind and won overall. This is the Trinidad pits about 550 miles into the race. 12X leaves in less than 3 minutes behind 1X and therefore had the lead on corrected time. Also interesting that they are using bolt on headlights instead of the clip which are much faster to install.

This is a video we shot at 09 Baja 1000. Pit is at Valle Trinidad (the
meadow) start of cross over rd.
Was a really close race. 1x Kawasaki led the whole race physically but
12x Honda took the win on corrected time.

Any of you guys see the Japanese with the Samurai sword

on his back he rode the race with it. I was at the summit all

kinds of goodies even rode bike 272x down for a few

hundred feet he was all beat. He insisted on going on it,

The Australian team (16X) did not finish. They came through our pit (Mag 7 Pit #4 at Borrego Junction) and did a rider change.......we later heard one of the riders went down and they were out. Bummer.
