Mulege Christmas in the Square

Once again Mulegemichael and I did the Santa and Mrs. Santa/Elf annual Rotary toy giveaway in the town square in Mulege. There were, and I am not kidding, hundreds of children and their parents. Babes in arm to mid-teens. Some 700 toys had been donated, and we managed, with the help of some really lovely Santa Helpers, to give every single toy away, one by one, and even sent one Helper to a corner store to bring in more. Cakes, cupcakes and sodas were flowing freely, and a good time was had by all. Anyone wishing to contribute toys or funds toward next year's Santa event should contact Jim Christopher in the Oasis. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful help and contributions. This means so much to the kids, and their families, too.

So sweet. 700 toys? What a wonderful day. Merry Christmas, and bless you!
