Baja Musicans
While having a lunch at the outstanding La Cocedora de Langosta in Ensenada, I noticed these musicans hanging outside. Time for a Photo Op.

While we were having lunch there a week before Christmas we also noticed two groups of musicians lounging there because of no work. Also, most of the
fish taco shops on that street were closed. And, even though there were two cruise ships in the harbor there were very few tourists on the street.
The economic downturn has hit them hard.
ps. Nice photos!

I am saddened by the tourism downturn in Ensenada. One of our fellow nomads recently posited that the lack of tourism could be good for the area in
the long run. I do not necessarily agree because the shorter term pain may take years to erase. And considering that Carnival has announced that they
are repositioning their ship elsewhere, it's only going to get worse.
There's no argument that the border zone is not tourist friendly these days. But, my recent experience with Ensenada is that the town is relatively
peaceful and quiet. Don't know if it will help, but I really think that a concerted effort by Ensenada to develop tourism, citing the relative safety
of the place, couldn't hurt.
Hear that, Jean Loop? Stop trying to sell multilevel marketing schemes and work on helping your brethren in town.

They have a great Baja Musician At Mama Espinoza's Place called El Gringo. Just look at the money he made one evening.
