woody--the road going into Faro(lighthouse) San Jose from the Catavina area is a good road and will take some rain before its too bad. Chances are not good that you'll get enough rain to worry about, but check weather forecasts before you leave.....if you're out at the ocean you've got 45 miles of muck to drive through to get back out. If there is a lot of rain wait a couple days for the roads to dry out--it'll make for a better drive for you and won't tear up the road for the fisherman.

If you're just going to Maria or Cono come in from the south via the Santa Rosalillita turnoff. Have fun!!

Hey Woody,
I'm thinking about heading down there around the same time frame. If you want an extra vehicle in your group, I'd be happy to try to tag along. I've been to the Sisters a few times from both north and south. Last tme I was there (spring of this year) we took the road out of Catavina. Mostly a cream puff, except for a couple of places. Did the whole thing in 2 wheel drive. Drop me line and let me know.

Hey Mexray

You might consider frames from Baja Bamboo. Bamboo, bamboo with rawhide wrapped corners, extremely rare chicharrones, Ocotillo, you name it.:light::lol:
