Does anyone have a useable phone no. to make a reservation with Desert Inn in Cativina ?

Try Desert Inn.com. They post an 800 # and it looks like you can reserve a room on their website. De Nada.

I just checked out their web site and basically, each hotel, when prompted for reservations showed it was full. As I recall, the chain was recently
sold, either in past or in entirety. Perhaps you might want to alter your plans, inasmuch as the only actual alternative in Catavina is barely much
more than a roof over your heads. 75 miles North is Baja Cactus, and a mere half hour farther is San Quintin, with myriad lodging choices.

76 miles before Cataviņa is El Rosario with #1 Baja Cactus, #2 Turista Motel, or Baja's Best Bed & Breakfast. (there are also 2 more motels: Mama
Espinoza's Las Cabaņas and the Sinahi, if the above three are full)
100 miles after Cataviņa on a side highway is Bahia de los Angeles with several motels.
148 miles south of Cataviņa is Guerrero Negro with several motels.

Thats for the help. I really dont think they are full when you look at April and June being full its plenty hot then. Anyway as always i will work
around it or take my chances.Coming south from old mill on dirt bikes so choises are few but hey thats baja.

There is also a place south of town about a mile called Rancho Santa Inez. It has bunks in a couple of large rooms and they also have food there,
maybe beer. I only stayed there once. The Desert Inn has a pretty good restaurant with a bar.

Shortcut... here you have the number for the Desert Inn Cataviņa, as you dial it from Mexico: (01-200) 124 91 2223 ... Single bed rooms are around $80
USD a night.
If you are unable to reach them, just let us know and we will be happy to relay your reservation to them.

The accomodations at the Desert inn are very basic for the money they are asking.
Plus the place [smells!][b/]. I am not sure what the smell is. The place across the street is justas good for almost half the price.
The only redeeming value of the desert Innis the proximity to the petroglyphs, and lots of terrific hiking behind the place. Just about April, should
be a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see an abundance of wildflowers all over the area.
We are planning on a long weekend about that time. I think we'll be dead by the time those flowers show up again!
