Puertecitos HotSprings
Hola from San Felipe. Just received a "google alert" regarding the hot springs. Here's a link to some fotos of a trip I made a while back and yes,
it's definitely worth the trip. Leave early; check our tide calendar and bring towels and lunch. The motel is hit and miss - it's open sometimes,
but not always. http://gallery.me.com/lagataloca#100077&bgcolor=black&am...
Carnival will be alright this year but we are having a Kat's Korner promotion (started in Peru) called "Abrazos Free" and we'll film it and be the
first in the Baja to do one. Come visit!

Yup... very different... Just tide pools really, with the hot sulfur water coming up through cracks in the rocks, mixing with the cooler sea water.
You need to time it after the high tide, when the water is going out and re-exposes the pools... for the 'freshest' water mix. The there are several
pools at various elevations. The higher ones will be hotter, having been the longest since the high tide covered them.
It has been many years since I was in them, but they look the same. First time was in 1967, the last time was in 1986 (I think). Good thing the sea
levels have NOT risen in the past 43 years, otherwise they would be underwater all the time!
Other sea level hot springs in Baja are located at Bahia Concepcion and near San Cosme, on the road to Agua Verde.

I gotta say that I was not expecting it to look that way either. Looks fun though....hot water and a cold beer sounds pretty good right now!

Rosalia chages $10 US per car, doesn't matter how many people are in it I was
just there on Sunday. Apparently it's not a sure thing, the tides and all have to be just right. We didn't get the joy of the pools but it was fun
anyway. They were slamming corbina off the jetty for those who like to fish
low lattitude attitude
