Mulege River Fishing
What do you do when it's too windy to fish on the Sea of Cortez (SOC)? Easy.. you fish where you can.
We drove into town at dawn to fish a couple mornings with light gear on the banks of the river in Mulege. One is reminded of Hurricane Jimena by the
riverfront remnants of it's fury.
"It's her valentine's day present"
You get to try out all those plugs and spoons in your tackle box..you know, the ones you have never used before. Bring some lunch, a few cold ones,
and relax along the banks.
Heck, you might even catch something...so you can release it.
"Take me to the river, drop me in the water
Push me in the river, dip me in the water"

Flippin' hurricanes aside-- as the saying goes, there's "No Bad Days in Mulege!"

Mulegena, you are surely right. Mulege could be renamed to...The River Runs Through It. Always a delight..well, until it floods! Then,sorry to say,
all hell breaks loose.
Hook, deckhands are definetely optional on the riverfront. And that is indeed the famous Miguel of Mulege..and some muttering coming from his tackle
box.

it was a barred pargo, bajabass....still lots of snook around; beachgirl and i hooked or caught at least one a day last week....some monster pargo
also.
