Blvd 2000

I am heading north in a couple of weeks and want to take Blvd 2000 to Tecate. Is the off ramp open off the toll road? I don't think so but maybe. I have heard of construction on the free road and can't get off at Puerto Nuevo. Where do i need to get off?
Thanks Mike

No, the toll road ramp at Popotla to northbound Blvd 2000 is not open.

Due to construction on the toll road, I would suggest that you exit the toll road at Cantimar and proceed to Blvd 2000/Popotla on the free road.

Yep... in fact, the entire free road north from Ensenada to Popotla is nice... Sometimes there is a big wait at that southern toll gate (military inspection) and the free road splits off to the right, just before it! Before 1970, that was the only highway... and it was almost void of traffic last July when we used it... had a great early dinner at the Halfway House, along the way! Viva Chef Johnny!!

Free Road between Popotla and Ensenada has some areas torn up for repaving....just hope that's finished before the Rosarito-Ensenada Bike Ride on April 17.

From Ensenada you can exit from the Toll Road at Puerto Nuevo (but not get from the Free Road ON to the Toll Road there anymore). That puts you a couple miles closer than Cantamar does.

The on ramp at Puerto Nuevo, is open to go North on the toll road.. one can exit to either go North or South on the Free road .. the other on ramp for South bound on the toll road would be down to Primo Tapia from the Free road..

Good luck on them getting all done.. but, they may.. have been making progress, albeit slow.. :):)
