Bahia Concepcion fishing question.

Hi, new here. I'm going to be camping at playa Santispac this saturday and was wandering if you can fish from this beach for anything good. Don't have a boat so can only do shore fishing. Im taking lots of Korcodile spoons and swimbaits. Is it a good place to fish?

No...But give me a buzz when you get here...and I will take you out to where you can catch one or two.

Pompano

..and..I will show you the best chances of shore fishing in BOC, such as they are..

Bring your ear plugs, cause your gonna need em.

But you still might catch some fish.

And look out for that loaded camera of his.

Enjoy

You might catch a tasty lizard fish if you're lucky.

I am SHOCKED!..shocked beyond belief.. ...that I should be so maligned by Idaho backwoods countrybumpkin novice fishermen who drive plastic boats. Truly I am...truly..sigh..

..why, sometimes out there on the big blue you hardly will know I am around.at all...

But since you have thrown down this gauntlet..., let's leave it up to
sanysidroSFD then.

What say you, newbie nomad?

You have 2 choices: Who do you want to skipper you?

1. Pompano...a veteran Baja lizard fisherman...or..
i
2. Co-pilot... who has about the same experience as the nimrod htnfool. (Look..she's not even looking in the right direction..sheesh.)

I await your answer.

I'd like to charter a walleye boat, piloted by a very attractive co-pilot, for a day fishing off San Marcos. But nobody tell Mrs. Bajabass, please! She will want to go!

Tough choice,

Let's see:

The big bag of wind, courtesy of Danny's Frijoles soup, with the North Dakota bass boat, albeit catches fish.

OR

The two puppy dogs with the brown noses, hiding behind the polyester.

Does the puppy like treats?

Pompano is mostly correct, however -- I was killing time last week dragging a Kroc behind my kayak and getting the occasional small bass, including one about 40 feet from shore (and about three feet of water) as I was reeling in before beaching. So it is possible but you might have a plan B for dinner.

Who in hades :fire: uses 'JOKERS' in the deck ?

Pomp, you are killin me with your WSOP (world series of poker) hands.

I am refining my game as we speak, watchout for my 'all in' move next time.

That river fishing looks too fun. Are they still biting?

htnfool...tsk, tsk..you missed the 'joker-poker' in my post above. It was dealer's choice..and no, not mine But hey, I'm not complaining at all...it was a Monster pot.

River fishing is still good, but strictly 'catch and release-without-touching-if-you-can.'

This is for OP..original poster..sanysidroSFD. Sorry about the sideways hijack, but that happens often here on Nomads. It's usually harmless fun...like this one.

For your shore fishing while camping at Santispac give all those rocky points going into deeper water a try. You never know.

One consolation is....it's been many, many years since the shore fishing was any good!

I mean it when I say look me up. I'll try my best to put you on some fish. I do catch some now and then. And when we get back we'll be right close to Ana's beachside cantina for a cold one.

Hasta la proxima!
