BAJACAT'S TRIP REPORT #3 LA TRINIDA CAVE PAINTINGS
MARCH 24- With a late start, we are off to Mulege to get some gas and at the same time to seearch for breakfast, wich we found at the gas station,
this guys was selling stingray birritos along with bean& cheese, ummm I think i gain about 10 pounds on this trip from all the side of the road
eating..ok back to the story, the road we where looking it's name THE ICE HOUSE RD pretty simple ha, we find the road and with directions on hand I
manage to get lost in the desert for 6 miles and end up in a racnh house nama Santa Clarita, way off the road i was suppose to be in, I back track and
ask a rancher and he points me to the the right road.13 miles later from Mex 1 we reach La Trinidad. for this trip you need to hire a INAH guide at
Mulege i was told this by the ranch care taker...or they wont show you the paintings they are not allowed by INAH...this road it's really ruff i
didn't lower the air in my tires and broke a retaining bolt for my left front shock...:fire33 dollars for a damme bolt dealer special order only)
ROAD TO LA TRINIDAD
ONE OF THE FEW SIGNS TO LA TRINIDAD
THE ENTRANCE TO THE CANYON
ALOT WATER ON THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, TO REACH THE PAINTINGS YOU HAVE TO GET WEET
FINALLY WE REACH THE PAINTINGS
THIS PLACE IT'S REALLY GREAT DONT FORGET TO GET YOUR GUIDE OR THEY WOULD NOT LET YOU GO IN.STAY TUNNED FOR LA BOCANA-BAHIA ASUNCION TO MEET SHARI AND
JUAN

Went there many years ago without a guide, no problem. Sounds like things have changed a bit...but the place looks the same. Awesome report!
