FOUND IN MULEGE

Last saturday April 10th in the mud in front of Jungle Jim's, a ladies unique custom gold (I think 14ct) ring.
Suspect that it may have been lost in the flood caused by Jimena but suppose it could have fallen off someones finger or out of a purse?

U2U an accurate description and I will see to it that you are re-united.

let's do the math...

14ct rings are 68.5% gold
today's rate for gold is $1136 per ounce
there's 32 grams in an ounce
today's rate for gold is $35.50 per gram
now take $35.50*31.5 (percent of alloys in 14ct gold)=$11.1825
subtract $35.50-$11.1825 = $24.32 per gram (for gold in 14ct)

let's say a ladies ring has 2 grams of gold in it (they are small)

2*$24.32 = $48.64

the ring is worth $48.64 or $584 pesos

since beer is $170 pesos a case

the ring is worth 82 bottles of beer

THANKS, BOB

Yours is the first offer. Lets see, 82 bottles of beer. That might last all of two days if JB and you and Steve come by!:lol:

Actually the rightful owner has emerged and likely will be re-united with their treasure today.

Stay tuned, the owner might even decide to reveal themselves, right here on BajaNomad.

14/24 = 58.3%

Beer Math - (58.3/68.5) x 82 = 69.8 bottles

I thought it was 28.

troy ounces (gold) contain ~32 metric grams, avoirdupois ounces (weed) contain ~28 metric grams.

Looks like you might buy more lids than jewelery ;)
