My main rods for La Mision all run 20lb Ande clear. For calicos, sandbass, halibut, lings, ect. it is plenty strong. Abu Garcia 5500 and 6500 reels rock. Anvil strong, easy to service. I think I have 10 of them. They have dorado, yellowtail, and white seabass over 20 lbs on their resume. My heavy rigs all run 40lb Ande clear. Smimano TLD 15-30, and 20-40 star drags, and a sweet Avet MXL 2-speed w/Magic Cast. Oh, the Shimano Calcuta w/50lb braid for heavy kelp. Slices the salad very well!:bounce: 16ft whaler clone by Ensenada Boat Works, a 94 Suzuki 40 horse, oil injected, electric start tiller. On flat water, she can hit 28mph on my GPS. When it gets rough, imagine riding a MX track with one hand on the bars:o
