We were hoping to cross in Tecate, so as to avoid the loveliness that is TJ I've
heard from other forums that the online site is often down on the weekends, so I will give it another try tomorrow. As to the on-shore fishing, yes
this is what we normally do, but now Lionel has purchased himself a Riffe speargun and is required to catch us dinner at least once every two days
All this talk of smoked fish has my mouth watering and my eyes blurry with visions of Baja sunsets. Ahhh....12 days!

The marina at La Salina has them. Google them, get the #, and call. Should be a quick, easy stop!

Thanks Bajabass! You may have saved my marriage!! Or at least my ability to eat freshly caught seafood from my husband's new speargun We are staying at La Fonda our first night in Baja, so La Salina is an easy stop on
our way south. Gracias!!!

Please call first. I have not been down for a couple months! The last time I launched there, mid February, they sold one as I paid my launch fee. It
is a five minute drive, check the afternoon you get to La Fonda.

Just an update to others who may find themselves in La Paz without a license. I just learned that there is a kiosk in front of the Sorianas straight
up Colosio that sells them (as well as many other govt documents). No muss, no fuss, no wait, NO COMMISSION. Just gave her my ID she entered the
information, I handed over the $531MX fee and she printed out my license. As previously stated I guess this service is also available in the govt
building on the right just before you get to Sorianas but this was so easy and so slick.
As you enter the mall to enter Sorianas head to the right beforfe you actually enter the store. You'll see a little gray kiosk straight ahead -
that's it!
