Independance Day Sunrise

Happy Day ! AMERICA!
It was really windy all day yesterday but the temps were down and it was comfortable if you were in the shade, out of the full force of the wind and nursing a cold beverage. This morning a lot like yesterday 75º ~ 78% & no wind. Still pretty good swell (for here) running.

Looking south down the beach

ESE

Almost 9am and still not a breath of wind. Maybe it'll lay down for the tin boat tomorrow. Spent yesterday organizing my tackle.... again!

Nothing to keep you off the water today Russ! I'll wait for the tide swing today and hit Baboa Island again for some spotties.
As far as organizing tackle, I'm getting mine ready for the move to La Paz. Consolidating enough to fit most of it in the bed of the Tundra. Somehow thinning the herd has led to a couple trips to The Longfin here in Orange! Ya know, with the wife already in La Paz, at least they are happy to see me after I close the shop!;)

Russ,

Wish our swell was that small. We have about 8-10' waves rolling in to today and lots of wind. it is still nice and cool, and we may even get a little rain.

Good luck on the water. I wish I could launch.

I guess today is a workday:mad:

hey, bass..... "most" fitting into the bed or a pickup..:lol: glad to that others exist too... you have a good time.. and be careful up there in that zoo....

can see what Russ was talking about... about the folks clearing out... and having it all to himself.. aaaahhhhhh bet its really quite too... except for maybe a rooster, but I don't consider them bad.. just part of the environment same as a coyote.. or Owl and other critters... its the other "noise" that gets to me....

enjoy all... have a good one you deserve it.... bass I got to see if I can get that old bronco up.. thats the only thing I have to get checked.. front end.. everything else is A OK.. even got the wife a box to set on when driving.. she is 5'2" what a hoot.. midgits, but love them ..:lol: I know, I know .. believe I me I know.. your all joined at the hip, what a Union!!! you ladies have :lol:

and there fun when they do arranged and put stuff up in the house... it's done from a perspecive of one that is a foot shorter, sometimes it just don't work right, does for here, I've learn or have been trained.. .. glad I'm not 6'8" or something around those lines.. 6'2" is bad enough...

Well enough of my rambling.. both of your have a great day... watch your fingers with the firecrackers...

Beautiful pictures! Nothing like the quiet stillness in the early morning and the world with it's sounds are awakening!! Cool and fresh !!! My black Lab Rio won't let me sleep in even if it's foggy or if I'm a little foggy! The Pacific Coast is still in the fog this late in the year and those of us still here love it!! Smiles :bounce:

Yes . At least to some people on Shell Beach. At one time we were the "low rent" area and had several other names but "Shell Beach" has settled in pretty nicely with most of us South of the runway to the estuary. It's only a local preference because I think we are actually Playa Santa Inez?
Edit: Oh, there is a Punta Chivato Home Owners Association that is all inclusive.

Russ:

We know the area. We have an ocean front lot in "Harvey World", parcel 83. We were down there during Feb/Mar ... had a great time! Steve
