Sierra Juarez - maybe near Laguna Hanson? Looks like a great backpack trip down to the desert.

I have that same photo. Looks like you had a clear day. The day we were up there we could see a peak on the horizon to the east that the director said was on the mainland of Mexico. Nice.

I am guess the entire mountain range was not specific enough... It is at the end of the auto road (now paved) built about 1970 to place the observatories up there.

I've been to it, got snowed on when we where up there. We came with only shorts and beach clothes from Los cabos. froze our butts off. Had to spin around the fire for the better part of the first night, the second night we remove the futon cover off the futon and piled whatever clothing article we had on us and we still froze our btts off. we left the next morning.
We are on a trip to TJ to secure my wifes US Visa. We left cabo on the night before a huricane which chased us all the way to viscano with rain.

Very interesting trip. 7day from los cabos to TJ and back ...with a night in Agua verde, and another in mag bay. And 2 in SPM

Had a lot of fun there last week. More pictures coming soon.

Speaking of cold, I was up in the SPM for New Years 1998-1999. It got down to the low 20s at night. There was enough snow at the time that we were able to do some sledding down some of the hills! What a blast.

Weather last week was no colder than 42 on the coldest night (usually in the 50s) and up to the high 70s during the day. Only a few clouds on some days, otherwise clear - Perfect weather. Lots of skeeters though :fire:
