Taxi ride and FMM at TJ airport?
I'm going to be flying Volaris from TJ to La Paz and this is my first rodeo. I had to give up my FM2 recently so will need to get an FMM. I had
planned to have mi esposa bonita drop me off at the border, walk across, get my FMM and take a taxi to the airport. I tried to find out about the
Volaris shuttle on their web site with no success so I figured the taxi would be a sure thing.
My questions are: can I get my FMM at the airport if I run into a snag at the border crossing? Has anybody taken a cab from the border to the airport
and how much did it cost? If an egg and a half weighs an ounce and a half how much would a dozen weigh?
Thanks in advance for the help, NOMADS ROCK!!!!.....dt

12 ounces! The cab ride cost me $12. I was told there is a kiosk at the
airport for FMM's, but I missed it, and the fit hit the shan when I got to La Paz! Long story, but get it at either place, or be prepared for a big
hassle when you get there.

Just inside the door to the right where everyone heads in for check-in for their flight there is an INM counter. No longer sure of the exact
procedure anymore. Usually you had to go to the counter, fill out the form then he sends you to the AeroCalifornia booth and pay, bring back your
receipt and he stamps your passport and FMM. When my wife and I came down a month ago we paid the INM agent right at the counter but when my kids
flew in on Monday they were told to go pay first then come back and fill out the form. Regardless, however they do it, it is quick, easy and
convenient.

Dropped some folks off at the TJ Airport last
last yr. They flew Volaris to the Cape. Got,
at that time fmt's, before they were allowed
thru to the boarding, Mex IMM was at the Airport,
gave them the form, they paid at the Aeromexico
window, Mex IMM then stamped it. There was
discussion about this a while back. poster was
going thru Otay, wanted to know if he could
get the fmm at Otay Immigration. I don't know
if the border Mex IMM will issue the fmm if you are
going to fly, they very well may. Back in the day,
Mex IMM at the TJ crossing would not issue me
an fmt for my bus travel to la Paz, told me to get
it at the central Bus Station Mex IMM counter.
I think it had to do with them not wanting to
step on the other Mex IMM offices area
of jurisdiction

Correct, most people miss it but my daughter got it right away when she was in the fifth grade......
Thanks for the heads up on the hassle if I don't get it....dt
