Popotla Road to Tecate?

How does the newer road from Popotla get you to the border crossing at Tecate?
Thinking of going that way coming back from Enesnada on Monday morning.

Two ways, Bob.
Get off the Toll Road at Cantamár....go north on the free road, through the military check point to Blvd. 2000.
Go up 2000 till you see a Tecate turn-off. That is the free road. If you want the Toll Road over to Tecate, go another six miles up 2000 till you see another Tecate turn off. That's it.
The Toll Road is relatively pricey....about 86 Pesos for 16 miles, but it's a nice drive and I prefer it.

If that isn't the Cantamár off-ramp I'm thinking about, someone will correct me, but I'm pretty sure it is.

I believe the exit is Puerto Nuevo heading North, then take the free road to Blvd 2000.
