Is there no body fish? Come on let me know what going on. I have some sportmen that want to go out and I kind to need some thought on were to take them.

The water is still cold. Last week in La Bocana, halibut and calicos are what you could expect to catch with a hook and line.

yup...water is still cold but this is what happens every year at this time....but one day for the next usually around the first week of August...it warms up miraculously and the yellowtail move in.

right now there are nice big calicos at the islands and lots of halibut at the beaches...some yellowtail under kelp beds but not really taking lures...we have speared some lately though.

this should all change in a week or two when our season kicks in.
