Well, you still have to pay property and sales tax.....just no personal income tax.........and why would anyone want to live in Las Vegas...........they have more shootings and homicides in one week than Baja sees in a year

It's pretty cool six feet under no matter where you are. Don't worry about the heat- so long as you live through your retirement plan.

Say what?? Did you get that backwards? There were only 163 murders in the entire state of Nevada in 2008, and there were 575 murders just in the city of Tijuana. Didn't even add in Mexicali, Rosarito, Ensenada and the little towns.

I think it's inevitable.
Just thinking that takes my property values to the bottom.
I really couldn't care less about that as long as my dog is safe.

Why worry about the dog? Korean menus when the gooks take over Mexico? (lol, just for the ratbird) ;)

It is being said over Here at AGENCIA FRONTERIZA DE NOTICIAS that these police officers were arrested on the word of El Muletas and El Teo's brother El Chiquilín. The article is in Spanish.

Well, apparently a whole lot. I Googled for Americans killed in Mexico and got this.

Well, first, I wouldn't put any stock in anything by somebody named "Fulano" (based on past Fulano experiences on this board)..........and second, how many of those reported homicides in Baja (25 in 2009) were tourists or Ex-Pats NOT involved in the drug trade or NOT involved in gangs....??????

Compare the 25 in Baja for the entire year of 2009, when in Clark County, NV (Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas) the total for the FIRST 6 MONTHS of 2009 was 68!!

Scary stuff!!!

Man, this type of reporting is sure suppressed in the U.S. They would probably have negative numbers of Americans traveling to Mexico if this was ALL out in the main stream media.

Still, even with all of these nasty things happening I will continue to travel to and enjoy all that Mexico has to offer. I will certainly be as careful as possible when heading down and really hope that at some point we see an end to this crazy violence. :(

Many of us live here full time and are un-afraid. Use common sense plain and simple is all, same common sense as if going thru as south L.A. it is overall the same as always
