Wide open yellowtail bite ON in Asuncion...FINALLY!!

Well...it's been a long time coming but finally the yellowtail are biting!!! Juan's a happier man now and his clients were ecstatic to say the least with their 10 nice YT from 20-38 lbs. and a mess of huge calicos! Even the 2 barracuda were big. It was great to be making those sashimi platters again!

the YT were caught less than 2 miles off our beach trolling exraps...blue with black spots and purple and the calico are everywhere but best ones around San Roque Island. Here are some pics from their trip.

and thomas was pretty surprised when he saw this nice grouper when they were calico jigging...they returned all fish to their home after.

Thats good news - we leave Tuesday for La Bocana. I went shopping for Xraps & Mirrolures yesterday and two guys had left Charkbait right before I got there and one of them was an "Arce". The guy in the shop said they were opening a tackle shop in your hometown.

Que onda Shari y Juan! Como estan? Yo tengo preguntas muy importante para ustedes! Hey how deep are you trolling and what type line are you using. What speed? I always like to hear from the experts. If you know the water temp that would be a bonus. Just curious!

Gracias!

hey dude...nice to hear from ya...they were trolling around 15-20' and they used 40-50lb blue izor line.

Yeah, that was probably Tivi Arce who has opened a tackle shop and also fixes rods n reels etc...a great service....on the main street across from the taco stand/candy store

can i get an amen, i mean, tuna from the congregation?

i guess i can hope for a hurricane to push up some warm water, but that gets iffy. BTW tuna are within 20-40 miles of SD.
