There are a lot of internet fisherman there, but also some very good, knowledgeable people, with good info. Again, just sort it out! Gonna have to learn to post pics though FA! LOL

I just asked my buddy up north about getting me set up.

I am a member on BD, the first post I made some idiot from up north asked me "How many Bisbee's have you been in, I have been in 3!!!" As if paying Several $1000 for a seat on a boat qualifies him as a expert. I asked him how many days a year he fished the SOC last year? I had fished the soc roughly 180 days from beach/boat.

That is the land post I made on BD.

what's a bisbee? and why are you an elite category relative to bisbee-ers?

Setting up a bulliten board is generally the easy part, phpbb or many of the most popular are free and install with a simple interface, if you use godaddy hosting these are installed for free too in the free applications area. The hard part is administration and moderating.

You can go get phpbb right now and install via dreamweaver.

It's not uncool, in fact I think it's very cool. There are lots of boats that you can buy a place on the team, this isn't a bad thing as it gives average joes like myself the opportunity to fish on a tournament boat with experienced team mates and all I have to do is pony up some serious cash to do it.

There seems to be no shortage of guys with no fishing knowledge but lots of cash that will look down their nose at you for not having fished a bisbee. They can probably tell lots of fish stories like they are the "tournament expert" but likely can't tie on or bait a hook.:no:

There used to be a great Thursday report on www.bajanet.com. I think it was called Amigos de Baja or some such - anyone know if they're still around? :(

fishabuctor...

I recall allcoast.com had a good fishing forum with a category specific to Baja waters. You might try that one...but it's been a while since I visited that site.

BloodyDecks is good...and so is this one:

The Hull Truth..one of the best forums for all things boat-wise. You will find categories for everything, including small boat fishing threads.
