East Cape big fish report
Just learned that yesterday a Mexican fishing in a small tin boat near Los Frailes caught a nice amberjack with a mackerella. 67.5 kilos or just shy
of 150 pounds. Think the record is still 155 lbs 10 oz but they have bigger ones spearfishing.

The Mexican who caught it doesn't own a camera. Best I can do is try to get a hold of him, see if he'll try to make a sketch of the fish caldo in the
bowl. If I can get that I'll scan it but I think we have all seen a bowl of fish soup. Maybe a vote here might be called for.

56 pound amberjack. Took about 30 minutes. I've had these things on for over an hour before and finally lost them when I got spooled. They really move
the kayak! I'd love to see one that's 150.
