Update on murdered green angel

Some of you may have heard that about a month ago a "Green Angel" was found shot to death next to his truck. My first thought was "who would kill a green angel?", after all and many would agree, they kinda are "angels". Then my thoughts turned to organized crime and I entertained the possibility that maybe organized crime had infiltrated even the beloved green angels.
Well, in TJ news today it was reported that his own son killed him because this man was being unfaithful to his wife. Turns out that the killer, his son, is also a policia estatal.

The nomads that were using this murder as an example of the sick and twisted nature of Mexico are going to be disappointed.

It was just a regular old crime of passion between loving family members.

Close....apparently as the rumor mill goes, it was a jealous son......the victim (son's father) was apparently getting "too friendly" with the son's wife.

Why shoot him in his Green Angel uniform next to his truck and leave him on the street like that? You can blame the tin foil hatted conspiracy theory people (like me on this one) who looked at this as being tied to organized crime. But that's exactly what the son wanted people to think or he would have taken his private grudge with his father inside the house where it belonged. A federal cop murdering his father on the street is still not good news- but it's good to know the real reason.

Correction from a very reliable source.............

The suspect/shooter was employed by the PEP (State Police) for 2 months in the Tijuana area and was fired 3 [three] years ago for misconduct.

On one hand, I agree with k-rico about the idea that everything bad that happens immediately conjures up thoughts of the drug cartels. On the other hand, if the perp was such a thoroughly bad dude that he was fired after 2 months, who knows who he runs with?
