Baja By Dirtbike... hey, thanks much.. was always a "bike" guy (started on a Model "J" Whizzer in about 1953 delivering the Los Angeles Examiner..
was 11, license, I don't need not stinking license, then a Cushman, next a Mustang.. then an old Indian "Scout" which nearly killed my self on
multiple times .. much later 1964 got a 650 Trimuph and in then in the late 70's got a Yamaha 250 ... that was the last.. the wife did not like me
riding and especially when I would put the kid on the tank and he would hang on to the bars.. and we would go for a "ride".. he was about 2 or 3
brought back so good memories.. thanks.. ... some just great shots... again, thanks for sharing... might not be able to "go" anymore... but, looking
is almost as good...

Thanks for that!
I take my restored 1976 Harley-Aermacchi SX250 out for a trail ride once a week. A few quick turns out of the city and there are dirt roads and horse
trails over the hills and through the canyons that are beautiful as well as challenging. Only had one bad encounter with wire being strung across a
trail ( I ducked quick but my helmet has the scar). I don't think this particular bike or my fillings would make it all the way down the Baja
peninsula (some days it's a walk back to civilization- so I 'm glad it's not too heavy). It's one of the reasons I love living here in Rosarito
Beach.

The pix of the road just above the dead cow is remarkable in the coloring. I don't ever remember seeing a road bed like that. Almost like a painting.
Baja is a great adventure, thanks for sharing.

Really enjoyed your trip report---all of it and the pictures are great! And it all gives a very good idea about some of the roads. Traveling with a
group can have its downsides.
Laughed when I read that you took a cold shower at Hotel Posada in San Ignacio----one of our favorite places. It takes a LONG time for the hot water
to reach the front rooms.
THANKS for sharing that.

TW,
That was up in the hills east of El Rosario on a Lizard LAdy route that came out a bit south of San Quintin....it was sand washed around by recent
rain....a beautiful ride and area...

Nice look back to 2006, 2007, 2009!
Cool photo of Coco's guest book... and that was cool seeing one of the classic Viva Baja stickers on back of the truck!
Thanks for another look back!
