A sad day for Punta Banda/Ensenada

It's official; the Baja Nomad famous Sharkey's will close on October 1st. The current operator, Emillio who built up a successful business over the past 2+ years, and his entire staff will no longer be there. It is not clear when the owner of the building will reopen with a new staff. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be a success in Mexico.:mad::mad:

"Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be a success in Mexico."
I don't know how "success" is defined in this story.

Sorry for your loss, Bob.

Yeah....This is definitly no good for the employees. Jobs are hard to find.
The owner, who has a family up in the states, also has a squeeze here in San Antonio de Las Minas and It's her family that will be taking over the operation of the business. That's my understanding.

It's like the "other woman" is a forever thing. Ain't luv grand?

Success here is being able to keep your doors open. Business is unreliable, even for the best place in town. Emilio, the tenant operator of Sharkey's, wasn't getting rich, but he kept a handful of people working. He didn't have to do that as he's of retirement age and everything he has is paid for.
