Boil them with salt an onion (the same way people boils them for everything) cut in small squares.
Mix in a deep pan with pinto beans (boiled, or use a can of pinto beans from VONS, haha). Mix green salsa (must not be too hot), make your own (salsa verde de tomatillo) or use "Salsa verde" Herdez brand can.
Than mix meat, I usually use fried pork chops cut in small pieces but thicker pork cuts are better some times.
Seemer for a while.

Have with tortillas.

I can eat this for days, love it.

I hope you can prepare it and sorry for my english, I'm mexican.

The skin does not need to be peeled off. Usually you buy or get the tender (younger) nopales ans skin is soft.

our very favorite way to prepare them is to slice a pad several times making it "hand" shaped....throw it on the bbq with your favorite steak, turning frequently...sprinkle a dollop of soy sauce on it and enjoy...is that simple?

nope you dont take the skin off...it gets a bit slimy while cooking but that goes away....also fresh tender nopales are delicious just chopped and added to a salad...kind of like cucumber with more flavour.
