Pedestrian Line Coming Back to US- Passport Holders Have a Faster Crossing
Border Guards at TJ, are apparently checking for Passport/passcards
when walking back, those with compliant documents
are put in a few lines, those without passport/passcard or
other compliant documents are placed in a "longer"
line. I believe this is only when it is busy, weekends
etc.

Are you saying there will be separate lines for U.S. citizens with passports? If so, good!!! It's about time..........so to speak.

I hit this on Sunday later afternoon. The line for those "without documents" was moving very slow and some in the "with documents" line were sent
back.
My big event was I was singled out by customs about 8 people from the front of the line and told to come to the front. My repsonse was "what did I
do?".....customs response... "you have a cane, you go first".
So is there any special consideration for those with a handicap pass? Does anyone have any experience with this? I know an older gentleman that has
been given a business card and told to use the sentri line. ????? I havent had the balls to try this. I don't know why I let these people
intimidate me so.

If they started a handicap lane you can be sure some enterprising Mexican will start a rental canes and wheelchair business- just like they did with
bikes for a while. Don't knuckles and balls go together?

K Rico, Not separate lines solely for US Citizens,
Mex Nationals with compliant crossing documents also
get to cross in the same lines as Passport
holders, it sends the crossers with dl's,
non compliant docs, into a separate longer line.
Maybe to pressure crossers to get Passports,
somewhere between 50% to 75% of crossers
have the correct documents

If she were here, she'd probably say no.

Walked right into that one! I am not even going to try and respond. Just dig a deeper hole!
Seriously, not just a cane or wheelchair, handicap documents. They must have them in Mex too.
I consider myself very lucky. On a good day the people in line normally part the seas for me, but not lately when the lines have been so long.
Everyone is stressed. Not that I feel entitled, just doing my shuffle.

sorry knuckles- no offense intended.
I had a crossing record today! Only 15 minutes to cross north at San Ysidro by car in the normal lanes at 12:30pm, but it took 40 minutes coming back
into Mexico at 2:30. SO I ate the carne asada burrito I bought for my nephew and there goes the diet already. again. Go figure.

I've written to my local congressman asking that a few lanes be dedicated to American citizens but I don't even get a response.
I'm sure the French would pitch a b-tch if they had to wait in line for hour's at Charles Degaule behind a bunch of Americans.

Couldn't it have burned in Mexico like all the other ones this week? Just my luck. Hope it was one of the idiots who fly down the left break-down
lane and cut everyone off. Those guys tick me off big time. Today is was mucho Mercedes pulling that crap. At $366 a pop they should post a
permanent CHP unit there every day to help Arnold out.

well, as I was on the bus coming south last weekend, immigration officers got on the bus to check AMERICAN docs - I didnt realize this was the case
and handed over my FM2
pretty funny !! But i thought that if I was going into Mexico, I should have to show my docs to get in. NOT the case at all. I thought it was very
odd. Why does immigration care about who is leaving rather who is trying to get in ??????
