Cardiologist near San Jose del Cabo?

Does anyone ... maybe Judy...know of a good cardiologist anywhere near San Jose del Cabo, or Los Barriles?
I've just had a couple of stents put in my heart arteries and now they say I have to go for a "stress test" in four weeks....Yikes!! I had planned on leaving for Baja Sur next week, I've rented my house out in Victoria BC as of Nov 1st so if I stay here and do that test I will be homeless as well as missing my take off time for Baja..SHEESH!!!
If I knew of a cardiologist in Baja Sur I'm thinking I could have it done there. This heart stuff is all new to me. Has anyone any advise as to whether I should start the drive down or not? I do it every year so it's not like it's new to me.

My wife had 5 way bypass surgery in the US last Oct. After a green light by her surgeon we headed down to our annual visit to BCS thinking where is a better place to recover? We made contact w/a cardiologist in Cabo in case she needed assistance. Dr Bareno performed an EKG and exam. Is is set up to do stress tests in his office. He spoke good english and was very knowledgable and informative w/ good communication skills. His fee was resonable (700 pesos) for over an hour of his time. He gave us his personal cell # in case we needed help. He was at Hospital Especialdales, his number is 521-612-148-3478.

I go to Dr Alexandro Velerrain 624 142 3031 drheart@prodigy.net.mx
He speaks very good English. He has an EKG and stress test machine in his office. He is smart and funny. I really like him a lot. His sister Maria is a OBGYN and his brother is also a doctor although I am not sure of his specialty; just in case anything else is wrong with you. He is located in Col.Chamizal, San Jose right across from the bakery.

oops spelled his name wrong(spanglish)....Alejandro

Find out what kind of stress test your doctor needs you to have (there are several kinds, and for various purposes) and why... Then see if a doctor in Mexico can perform it with the equipment available. Good luck!

Thank you so much

Judy, Mike, Don, and David...Thanx tons!! This information is VERY valuable to me.
The stress test I need is a treadmill test.
And Judy's doc in San Jose sounds to be my best bet, it's probably closest to where I live.

You can also check with Amerimed Hospital in San Jose for a cardiologist. Can't remember his name but there is a cardiologist on Valerio Gonzalez St and Mujeres, above the farmacia and internet and across from the College. My property manager from Nanaimo used him and was very happy with his service.
