Bay of LA Lodging

We just got word that we're to be in BOLA to support our race team for the Baja 1000.
We've stayed at Villa Bahia - OK.
Any comments on Los Vientos?
Other suggestions, given that places in town are probably booked?
Thanks

Daggetts has a motel. Not the Hilton...but its decent. No secured parking area though. Great camp sites that we like.

But my favorite place is Villa Bahia as far as motel goes.

Got "cottages" to rooms with kitchens. They will even, for the asking...bring in a housekeeper/cook for your stay (extra). Library, net, bar, the works.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

We stayed at Villa Bahia, laid back and what we liked most is that it is VERY dog friendly. But yeah, I hear your "OK". I'd still prolly go back though for the dog factor alone.

Costa del Sol along the entrance street, is very nice if you get one of the original rooms... If in the new building, check the bed.. an air mattress might be needed! The food served there is outstanding.

Another popular place is Raquel and Larry's Motel is just past Daggett's.

See http://bahiadelosangeles.info for a list and map of ALL the places.

I have pictures from 3 or so weeks ago Raquel and Larry's Motel but have no idea how to post them. I read how to do it from another post and I simply went back to my Cabernet vino after not understanding. I guess I am just old school.

Will trade pictures for a simple explanation on how to do it. While someone’s at it, how about how to do an avatar picture?

Anyway, I highly recommend Larry's joint. Larry and Betsy are nice people. Just be prepared for a lot of cigarette smoke when you are on the upstairs deck eating and/or drinking.

Do you know how to email photos (attachments)? I will post them for you until you get it!
