FM 2 renewal

My husband and I are soon to be renewing our FM 2's for the second time. What are the new requirements for the Ensenada area? It seems the requirements differ in the various jurisdictions. I wanted to hear of your experiences before asking the people who take care of this for us each year. Thanks

FM-2 Info

Go right to the source:

Blanca Medina
646 117 3442 (cell)
646 178 2607 (office)
vlanka7@hotmail.com

Office is in the little strip mall between (behind) Anthony's and the Pemex on Blvd Costero, a block or so from the Imigracion.

Dependable, reliable, reasonable. and efficient. Has never let us or any of our friends down in any way. Highly recommended.........give her a call or send her an e-mail for current requirements.

I just handed my stuff [FM2 type] to Carlos Victoria, an independent agent just like Blanca above and it included a copy of my passport photo and info page......new photos, two sets...........soon to expire FM2....latest bank statement [which I put together on my computer although, in the past, they have insisted on bank copies.....what do they know] and 4500 Ps.
I don't know how that price looks next to the competition, but I always look for the easy way out.

Dennis,
What was the required amount of money deposited in your bank account for a husband and wife? There seems to be a discrepancy about this in various locations.
Thanks, Suzie

I don't know, Suzie. I'm solo, but I still don't know. All I do know is I have plenty of income to cover whatever it is.

I think you should call Blanca.

WOW...........307 for two? FM3 or FM2? Agent or no agent?
I'm starting to feel the pain of not paying attention.

I know the government fee is the same everywhere. Our man charges about the eqiuvalent of $120.00 Dlls each for doing the work. But the income requirement seems excessive compared to what I hear from others on this board. He insists that our bank statement must show at least $3,500.00 in deposits for the month preceding the renewal. ( Same when we were doing our FM3's) Our income varies each month so I have to scramble to transfer money into the account. The reason why I brought this up, was just to see what others are experiencing.

Isn't this something? We've discussed this a million times and still can't come up with an answer.
I guess there never is only one answer in Mexico.
