Friday-Sunday... depends on how far down they are and if they stay longer than the race.

Is the race on the new pavement south of San Felipe? I s the road closed off?

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Yes it's on that pavement. No but you better watch out. They have a 60mph speed limit on that road.

Has this race completely started yet? I just drove up to Home Depot and there are race cars all over the streets. Lots of big trucks still on trailers. I thought they were gone by now.

That was around an hour ago...10:30.

I posted links to the LIVE video at the start of the race... Trophy trucks began at 11:22 am (one every 30 seconds). The bikes and quads all got started betwen 6:30 and 7:30 this morning... The last 4 wheeled vehicle should have been on the course before 1:30 this afternoon.

They have 45 hours to reach La Paz, 1061 miles away, from their start time.

See the other threads in the Off Roading forum.

VIVA MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'LL BE WEARING MY VILDOSOLA SHIRT ALL DAY!
MAYBE EVEN SOME PANTS.
Proud moment for Mexico, we just won the super bowl of Baja California!

6:58 DIRTnewz: 19:00:04 is the elapsed time of Tavo and Gus Vildolsola which will give them not only the SCORE Trophy Truck WIN but the Overall 4 wheel vehicle win as well!!!

Average speed 55.8 mph faster than 2006 when Andy McMillin and Robby Gordon won this race

6:55 DIRTnewz: still no signs of Robby Gordon who is running in second here from the finish. Team Vildolsola are the first Mexican National team to claim the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 WIN!!!

Lots of crowds and vehicles in La paz this afternoon with the main road blocked right by Walmart, lots of clebration going on with the finish line and the carnival attitude all around.
