Dec. 7th Sunrise ..Tora Tora Tora..The Day of Infamy
Listen..can you hear all those rotary engines up there?
My deceased father-in-law was a seaman/welder onboard that day in Pearl Harbor...and swam for it with hundreds of others. A lot more did not make it
to safety in time.
I am sure a few original survivors, who given the chance, would have said this at the end of that brutal war:
"Fire up the Enola Gay. Payback's a Son-of-a b-tch!"
Also on Dec 7th..Deleware became the First State. How about that..?

The dawn at Pearl Harbor may have been just like your foto, Roger. A good day for flying. Bad day for all else.
RIP

The channel that leads into Pearl Harbor is very narrow, it's blasted through the coral reef. If a major ship had been sunk in that channel it would
have bottled up what was left of the fleet. Nothing would have been able to come or go.

I was a sailor stationed on Ford Island (in the middle of Honolulu harbor) in 1950; the bullet holes were still in the sickbay building. The USS
Arizona was (and is) underwater with many of its crew. RIP - Interesting times.

Neal..my first wife's father was aboard the Arizona when it was bombed and sank. He swam for it through some machine gun fire with many others. Was
wounded, but survived to make it home to Fargo, ND.

I have pasted the Arizona several times and each time the hair on the back of my neck stood on end.

Anyone can catch fish in a boat but only \"El Pescador Grande\" can get them from the beach.
I hope when my time comes the old man will let me bring my rod and the water will be warm and clear.
