When you hear people say Mexico is "stuck on stupid", this is what they mean. They can't get the judicial job done with the current systems/procedures, but that doesn't stop them from making the people feel more hopeless and impotent with failed prosecutions that create more apathy. Very sad, but this will keep happening. Another case for martial law and military prosecutions imho.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Let's give a hearty welcome to Mexico's newest political party...La Familia.

This is what Mexico's war is about. Not drugs.

In the absence of "lobbyists" and corporate political donations like NOB- the cartel dollars filled that void and they now run the show, and will for a long time to come. Still stuck. It takes money for the PAN and PRI to fight all the time, it would be better if both parties came together to save Mexico first, but that won't happen because there's no money in it for anybody.

How about martial law with summary trials = instant justice

Good one. I think all viable, albeit temporary options in lieu of an effective judicial system should be addressed. Why not? The path Mexico is on now is not sustainable from a social or economic perspective? The vultures of Latin America are already circling her corpse.
