Rosarito Police Ambushed at 7pm in Taco Shop, One Cop and One Diner Killed. Tourists: Choose your taco stands wisely

This sucks. Four Rosarito cops eating tacos in a roadside taco shop were ambushed by four men in a van. One cop and a diner/bystander were killed. If you are eating in a Taco shop and cops come in to eat... eat fast! Don't know what this really means around here yet. My nephew's tell me there is conflict between the police and the local narcos because the Marinos are making each side rat the other out. This could be yet another cleansing process for Rosarito, too soon to tell. The gun used was very undersized, which is unusual for an ambush. 'Tis the season to duck and cover. Felicidades!

ROSARITO, Baja California (PH)
A municipal police and one civilian dead is the result of a surprise attack by gunmen who escaped on board a gray van.

The attack occurred around 19:00 hours at a taqueria located on the street of the colony Distrito Federal Constitution, when four agents of this corporation were dining.

According to the director of the Municipal Police, Magdaleno Vazquez, witnesses reported that several armed men on board a van burst to the agents while they were in place before fleeing.

From these facts the agent Hector Alfonso Vargas and a civilian who was also the site that was identified as Juan Carlos Duran were lifeless, while the other three agents were able to escape the attack unharmed.

Luis Vazquez said that it is a direct assault to the corporation and until last night had people arrested for the murders.

He also indicated that the weapon allegedly used during the assault is a .223 caliber, known as the "goat horn."

Small caliber? OK, not a .45, but .223 is AR-15/M-16 caliber. Serious as a heart attack!
