Give me a simple explantion of how to post photos

i've read the how to in this thread but I guess I need the photoposting for dummies. I have my photos stored on my computer in the pictures files. they are in the Nikon program and when browsing i can pull up the jpeg photos but when I try to attached them to a thread I get 0 to show. so if someone could just give me the steps to take a photo from my file and attach it to a thread I would love it. Thanks--- Norm

by the way I'm posting here as I don't think too many read the guidelines regularly...N
