Would you / do you?

Bring your laptop and store in hotel rooms or rental car? We normally do but it is secure in MY rv. OR just use the corner Internet Cafe.

Thanks,

Just be smart about your surroundings. Baja, Africa, Amazon, Bora Bora or wherever. Just be smart! Never had a problem.

I usually travel with my lap top everywhere I go, I just make sure it's packed well (padded carrier?) and when/if I leave the car I just throw something over it to take an extra precaution, as for hotel rooms I've left it in there and have never had a problem.

I would say bring it, just don't leave it in plain sight and you shouldn't have a problem.

Most (all?) laptops today have a keyhole for a lock. Get a lock/cable and secure it to something in the room. It will discourage an opportunistic thief. I also use a daypack for a case instead of the briefcase style laptop case. Somewhat less obvious.
