I have a recipe..and I have a request.

REWARD FOR ANYONE BRINGING ME THIS PIE..ASAP!

KEY LIME PIE RECIPE

Ingredients

• 1 (8-ounce) container nondairy whipped topping, thawed slightly
• 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
• 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
• 1 (6-ounce or 9-inch) prepared graham cracker pie crust
• Freshly grated lime zest, for sprinkling

Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the whipped topping, condensed milk, and lime juice until smooth. Spoon the mixture into graham cracker crust and smooth the surface with a spatula.
Set in the freezer until firm, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle lime zest over the top before serving.

"Why don't you make your own pie?", you ask. Well, I have..but yours might be better. These were my key lime pies a while back.

Key Lime Pie - Standard

Key Lime Piie - Improved

...I gotta stop reading the Food Network while I am on this diet....

There you go.

Roger,

maybe you're better off to invest in a ticket to Italy and have copilot serve you some of that Italian pie before you go off the deep end.:no::biggrin:

Ed, we would almost meet over the Atlantic..she flys here first of March. Besides, we just Skyped a bit ago about my diet...and she said:

Quando il gatto non c'č, i topi ballano!

Now...can someone make the pie look like this?

Gypsy Jan...my grilled fish and a salad. Don't let it's looks fool you.

Pompano,
I don't know how I'm going to get it to you but The Fam and I had key lime pie on a stick in the Conch Republic this winter! Unreal, we'll have to make it happen.
Good luck on the pie search.

in la bocana they make a pie called PASTEL FRIO that is similar in taste to a keylime pie ....

I altered the recipe and I make it with peaches - an aberration that is delicious !!!

gotta love keylime pie. esp from the Keys !!
