Onion harvest out in Valle la Trinidad
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Oh, I would love that smell. I am a garlic freak!
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

McFezzy man
Did you see the LARGE pile of onions on the east side of Hwy 5 going to SF.
They have been there for a while. They must have taken them off a truck and piled them there. They have now become rotten and man, they will make
you cry just to drive by them.

Scallions!
Back in the early 70's, the area known as the Santa Clarita Valley, before there was such a thing as the city of Santa Clarita, consisted of two
unincorporated areas known as Saugus and Canyon Country.
Although the area has subsequently been built over as a suburban enclave, before 1976 or so, the fertiles flatlands were the site of a massive green
onion farm.
Given the low overhead on such a crop, it was normal to disc the unsold crop into the soil.
Several times a year, no matter how one tried to keep doors and windows shut, we could never avoid the pungent odor of rotting scallions.

You know....I love that smell of onion..while cruising the highway at night. ...getting to L.A.
Magic Mountain's birth up there sort of exposed the area, hun?
