Probably not, but it's part of the drama that influences all of Mexico, including Baja. We would do ourselves a disservice to ignore any part of it only because it runs into a state border.

I propose a new guideline.....if anywhere in a state, or a country, or even a continent, a Fish Taco is sold, it's Baja related.
That's the way Rick Bayless would have things....I'm sure.

No need. She can do the job online. I mean...what did she do?
Nothing. Had she done anything, she'd be dead.

I just aquired a copy of all Mexico Labor Laws, English and Spanish.

I'll start a thread a bit later and show everybody what it's all about. It is the most available source of law here that I have seen.....most fields.

A friend of mine was put into a catch22 situation when one of his tour boat captains was drinking on the job, under Mexican maritime law that was illegal but under Mexican labor law that was not grounds for termination.

Your average tourist or expat has no idea how efd up Mexican labor law really is.

The #1 reason why Mexico is, and will remain the America's stepchild.

Welllll....OK. I'll do this now.
There's a bi-national attorney in TJ named Glenn McBride. I'll let him introduce himself:

http://www.glennmcbride.com/

Glenn offers Mexican Law in three forms...PDF File, CD, and print. I came across his site a while back:

http://www.mexicanlaws.com/

I recently ordered and received his publication of the Mexico Labor Laws, 265 pages [+-] in two languages. The price for this section of law is $120 dollars and just to answer a million old questions, I would have paid more.

Other areas of law which he covers are listed on his site and once you start digging around, you'll see the value of his hard work offered here. "Everything you ever wondered about the laws of Mexico."

He also practices Immigration Law and in the future I would like to see an "Ask Glenn" forum here for the many questions that come up and remain unanswered.

It has to be kept in mind that Glenn is a professional and not primarily concerned with handing out free advice. It would be up to him to strike his balance.

Later today, I'll give this topic it's own thread. Right now, it's beer time.
