Snow in Baja 2011 Feb 27 Google Earth KMZ

This is neat. A 3-D image overlay in Google Earth showing the large extent of snow cover in Baja a few weeks ago. The actual images with the best resolution are over 5 Mb in size. But WOW! YES, this is a PEMEX gas station in the snow. Download the KMZ from here to fly around in 3-D.

Nice! Isn't there a gas station at the San Matias Pass area?

Yes, it seems it was a spectacular few days and I wish I'd been down there. I'd have been checking all the white stuff out all over.

Did you download and open the KMZ file??? It's a gorgeous fly-around all in white.

As for your question, I'm not sure. That photo came from another site that I linked to. I know there is no Pemex on the 100 Km road up to the parque nacional once you turn off of Highway 1. So El Camote may be correct. Maybe on the Valle side. Here's the link to LOTS OF SNOWY BAJA photos and videos.

From the Pemex website - this station (#6432) is in the municipality of Tlaxco in the state of Tlaxcala.

CT-6432 OPERADORA DE GASOLINERAS. TLAXCALA, S.A.. TLAXCO. TLAXCALA.

Thanks Lou. Southeast of Mexico City. Nowhere near our beloved Baja peaks. Although the city lies at 7,000+ feet elevation. I did notice that that blog/website had posts from all over Mexico, not just Baja, so I wasn't sure.
