This post brought back some nice memories. My wifes mom made fresh strawberry pies when we were dating. Yours looks great.

did you remove the seeds from the outside of each berry to make the pie more digestible?

I just left my teeth in while eating it.

BajaBlanca, normally I am happy to share recipes but truthfully this pie was not worth the fat and calories. The guys enjoyed it but it is my
experience they will eat anything! However, if you need a wonderful pie crust recipe that melts in your mouth, does not require rolling and is very
easy to make, just let me know.
I will keep working on the strawberry part!

BajaBlanca, here you go:
In a pie plate place 1/2 cup melted butter, add 1 cup plus 2 Tblsp. flour and 1 Tblsp. sugar. Stir with fork til well blended and press down to
bottom and sides of pie plate.
Bake at 400 degrees unfilled (cold or cream pies) 10 to 15 minutes
Bake at 425 degrees filled for 30 minutes
This crust is also very good for quiches.
Enjoy!

And what's with the strawberries this year? All the ones we've seen are about the size of beefsteak tomatoes!
