Platforms for osprey nesting
For many years now, these platforms on top of the power line poles south of Mulege..and close to the Cortez..have provided nest building sites for our
local osprey. Bravo.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Osprey nesting stands are also built on power poles on the road between Lopez Mateos and Insurgentes. Not on every pole, but spaced every half or
three quarters of a mile and generally on poles on higher ground. Probably taking into account territorial imperatives.
Bravo, indeed.

Great pics guys! Spotted one out at San Juan De La Costa the other day. Also on a power pole, next to the pier for the mine. I could watch birds of
prey all day long, even more so if they are fishing.
Keep your eyes on the road, and your hands upon the wheel!

Bird should have been offset to the left, so his gaze has somewhere to go. Little noisy too. You should be able to take a better one with either the
canon or the leica.

Still need an Osprey. The shot wouldn't be the same without one.

I noticed in Rogers original picture that the birds were obsorbing enough electricity from the power lines to make their eyes light up.
