Looking for a new propane powered generator technician. while our guy is very talented, he is also very hard to get to come out and do service. I have
been waiting for weeks now and decided I am done waiting, can anyone direct me to someone in SJD or the eastcape?
Thanks,

I know chuck personally and he is very good. I have used him many times and he is highly recommended by me.
I will send him an email and check...I had forgot about that option. Maybe he can send a tech out my way, because the generator probably weighs
4000lbs.
thanks for the reminder

I fixed it...I went through the ignition system, cleaned all the connections, changed cap/rotor, swapped out the coil, stole a coil/distributor cable
from my '66 bronco, replaced the spark plugs with the old set(that I saved as backup), played with the timing and it started up and runs pretty good.
Once I get to SJD, I will get new plugs, new wires, and get a spare coil as well as a backup cap/rotor. Once these parts are installed it should run
like a top.
I have rebuilt a couple motors in the past and I am a hack mechanic due out of necessity, as I have been an offroader with old jeeps that were always
breaking down, my buddies always had old vw bugs...they too were always broke down. No to mention I was always broke in college and spent a lot of
time in the college provided autoshop.
However the LP gas system had me confused and I wasn't sure how to handle it. I thought it was a fuel issue at first as I had spark at the
plugs...however it was a very weak spark, so I had to figure out how to correct that.
I am having Chuck send out juan to repair the 65kw that has a bad temp sensor, I also have a spa heater issue. Juan is a damn good tech. Wahoo has
fixed several appliances for me in the past, as well as pool equipement and solar gear.
Wahoo is highly recommended.
Nomad DavidE really knows his stuff too.

What are you powering a small city? Makes my 6.5kw seem like a toy. I have a 15 kw propane powered at my other house and I love it. It is pretty much
the only engine I have that I can use my timing light and dwell meter on.

The main house is 10,000ft2 it has 2 casitas, as well as 2 pools, a 15 person spa, and enough ac units to keep a penguine happy in august...
I manage the place and live in one of the casita, my caretakers live in the other.
You would not want to have the propane bill!
