Pavement open Mexicali to San Felipe

Our State Secretary of Tourism Lic. Juan Tintos Funcke has spoken to the State Secretary of Comunications, Ramon Luke, and he has assure that by this coming friday the highway will be ready for transit.
The further process of remodelation of the highway will continue after Easter Break.
It is important that you know that our State Governor has made a great effort for the safety of travelers.
Please if you will be so kind to pass on the news.

On Thursday I came down and drove on about a quarter mile of the new pavement. I saw that most of it was paved, but with only the first layer of blakctop so It will take a bunch more work later to finish it. All but 2 culverts were finished and both of them were done but the road not done over them. It'll be pretty good for a few days till we have to go around again for the finishing touches.

We just came back from SF. We didn't have to detour, stayed on the hwy all the way. On the way down we were detoured off twice.

And how did you do in the race? Was around the Start/Finish but didn't see you there, then got involved changing a motor in a 14 car.
